I threw together my trusty shortbread crust, whipped up pastry cream (for the first time), had a couple oopsies in the kitchen (think, exploding oven, burnt hair, frustrated cause I don’t really know how to pit a peach properly), then spent the rest of the afternoon rolling up lil peach flowers. baked with a little brown sugar, had juice spillage in the oven, then glazed with peach bellini jam from @traderjoes. topped with fresh basil, toss a smidge of @jacobsensaltco flaky salt. boom. proud yet probably never going to attempt this pain in the ass ever again.

Our weekend plans in one picture🤤 Who can relate? To make this seafood and corn roast (6 serves) you’ll need: 2 pounds crawfish (I used precooked) 1/2 pound shrimps 1/2 pound clams 4 red potatoes quartered 2 corn cobs (cut into 4 pieces each) 3 lemons 1 stick butter room temperature(1/2 cup or 115 grams) 2 garlic cloves minced 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley 2 tbsp Old bay or Cajun seasoning 2 tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil) Directions: Preheat your oven to 375. Toss quartered potatoes and corn with avocado oil and arrange in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Cook for 20 minutes. While potatoes and corn are cooking, mix the butter, parsley, garlic and seasoning. Once potatoes and corn are par cooked, remove from oven, flip and add crawfish, shrimp and clams to the pan. Mix everything with the butter mixture. Roast for 20-25 minutes or until the clams open and the potatoes are cooked. Dinner last night did not suck. Rubbed down a wagyu Ribeye with @whiskeybentbbqproducts The Rocks and @jacobsensaltco cherrywood smoked salt. Then threw it in the @chefsteps sous vide for 4 hours at 125. Then finished it off on a hot cast iron pan. . . Also threw a rack of ribs on the traeger and spiced them up with some @howtobbqright killer hogs seasoning and finished them with some Orange Chili BBQ Sauce from @fivemonkeysbbqsauce

Shrooms! Lobster shrooms, blue chanterelles, and baby chanterelles from Nature’s Wild Harvest at the Lloyd Center Farmer’s market, also serving the Hollywood Farmer’s Market. I sautéed the lobster shrooms with a mix of celery salt, Jacobsen’s garlic salt (which is THE 💣), and cracked pepper. Mixed with Manini’s fresh ravioli, sautéed shredded Brussels sprouts, and huckleberries also from Nature’s Harvest. Topped with Jacobsen’s finishing salt. Will be tackling the chanterelles tonight to pair with black cod. Rumor has it, mushroom season is in swing will be superb this year, with plentiful spots near Mt. Hood.
